The truth is that duplication is absolutely necessary and impossible at the same time!
Let me explain…
I have been chugging away at this online marketing thing for just over a year now. Now the funny thing is that I have caught myself thinking that I shouldn’t admit what I am about to admit to people, but there is a very good reason that I am being transparent about myself. That is because, it is the only way that you can truly have the success that you are after in this industry. How does this fit into the duplication subject?
For the longest time when I first started out, I was doing everything I could think of, to look and act like the people that I see who are making the kind of income that I was after. I would dress the same way they would on the videos. I would study how their voice sounded and pay close attention to what was in the background of their videos.. and then “duplicate” it as closely as I could. I know, it is embarrassing to admit some of these things, but it is SO important to understand why I am telling you this.
You see, what I thought I was doing was learning what I needed know from the gurus in the industry. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was actually learning the basic skills and concepts that I needed to learn, and stumbling all over myself as I tried to portray myself exactly the same way as the people I was learning from. I thought that I could market myself by becoming the people that I admired. Sounds kind of retarded when I say it out loud now. What happened was that I was accidentally learning the core concepts of marketing and personal posture while trying to be someone that I am not.
So, what part of duplication is necessary? Increasing your VALUE! Yes, building your knowledge in your chosen field and becoming comfortable with the fact that you DO know what you are talking about if you take the time to learn it!
If you are sitting there thinking to yourself, “Sure, sounds great, but how the heck do I do that?”
First of all if you have been trying to do business for yourself for any length of time, take a moment to realize that you really DO have a lot to offer.
Do you know how to buy a domain name? Did you know how to in the beginning?
Do you know how to direct that domain name to a different host provider?
Do you know the names of people that know the things that you don’t? (Very important!) There are a lot of people out there that don’t even know where to go to find the answer to their questions! Just knowing where to go or who to ask is 90% of the battle in this industry and if you can direct someone with questions to the right answer, you can become a sought after authority just by doing that on a consistent basis.
Secondly, what do you have that sets you apart from the crowd? What are you good at? Are you a go-getter who is known for getting someplace just because you won’t stop running? Are you the type of person who analyzes down to the smallest detail? Are you good at talking to people, or are you the type that expresses yourself better in writing.
Discovering who you are and what your strengths are will put you light-years ahead of the majority.
Then, when you learn the skills and concepts that every successful Network Marketer knows, it becomes your knowledge. It becomes valuable secrets and strategies that you have to offer to the marketing industry. Believe it or not, most people don’t take the time to do this. Most people are going to do what I did in the beginning, and try to be someone that they are not and pass themselves off as a person of value.
It breaks down to this. You are not going to see massive results in your business until you realize that people are not going to attach themselves your wonderful business or opportunity. They are going to attach themselves to YOU. You know it’s true. Think about every single person that you respect and learn from in this industry. Is it because they have a sweet business, or is it because they have an insight and a posture that is unique to them and helps you at the same time?
This is going to be really good news to everyone that is reading this. You absolutely CAN make it. The duplicable part of this business is the growth and greater understanding of how to first, market yourself, and then filter who is joining your business. I have seen this over and over. The people that decide to run with a marketing strategy that works for them WILL create 50 to 100 leads every single day. Don’t get me wrong, most of the time, you do need a mentor to show you how to accomplish this. However, you do not need to worry about BECOMING your mentor. You can’t, and you don’t need to. Just learn to get the leads and learn how to be a leader to your leads. It’s not hard. Even a new person can do this.
I here this all the time, ”How am I supposed to put myself in the position of authority and teach people, if I am new to this myslef?”
This is where you need to have a system in place that provides mindset and strategy training that you can implement on the spot. This is what changed the game for me. I have a system that provides every piece of the puzzle that every single Network Marketer must know in order to market themselves online. I started out just watching an hour of training that would teach me how to market on Facebook, YouTube, Linkedin, and a host of other free methods . Not tips and tricks, but the entire blueprint of skills that will absolutely bring in leads. Then I would write about it and make short video clips describing what I was writing about. Doesn’t really sound all that hard, does it? The key is learning, implementing and teaching. Simply take 2 to 3 hours out of your day to increase your knowledge and then teach what you have learned to others.
When you find out that it is possible to get 70 warm leads off of a single article, the entire game changes. My business took that ever so crucial step into, fun and easy.
